Conclusion of Yemen Cholera Appeal with Islamic Relief

At the end of 2017, Raise for Life completed a fundraising project with the UK
based and world-renowned charity Islamic Relief. The cause of the project was to
raise funds and awareness for the desperate people of Yemen, who are still plagued
by war, famine and the largest outbreak of cholera of recent time.
The group of volunteers, along with its many generable supporters raised a
whopping £42,228 through a Family Fun Day at Wibbly Wobbly World of Play (22
ndOctober 2017) and the annual cricket tournament – Yemen Champions Trophy 2017
(31stDecember 2017) at the Edgbaston Indoor Cricket Centre.
Working together with Islamic Relief was important to Raise for Life, as it reassured
the volunteers and its supporters that this “on the ground” charity would ensure that
every single penny raised would help buy and deliver life-saving medication and
food to the people of Yemen.
The images on this page show but a small glimpse of how the food and medicine
was distributed on your behalf by Islamic Relief. This is important to Raise for Life,
as they want you as a supporter to know exactly how your money was utilised.
A huge thank you to all of you who continue to show your support. We pray this is
rewarded back to you and your families. Ameen.
