On Sunday 4th November 2012 an Eid-ul-Adha event was organised by All2gether and held in Newbury Berkshire. There was participation of various organisations including Reading International Solidarity Centre who held an exhibition about Islam in Britain, the Berkshire Islamic Information Group who did a presentation about Islam and Eid, Raise for Life had a stall raising funds for and raising awareness of the Palestine water filtration project, visits from a local scouts group and much more. There was many people from the local communities that attended the event including the local Mayor of Newbury and was a great opportunity to raise awareness not just about Raise for Life but also the project we were undertaking at the time.
As a parent it was extra special for me as it gave me an opportunity to have my two daughters, Aila and Leaha participate with the running of the stall during the event.
