Raise for Life Presents – Running for Refugees 2016

It’s that time of year again…..get those running trainers on and get out your running gear! Raise for Life are asking YOU to take part in the annual 10K run at Leamington Spa on Sunday 17th April 2016.

Last year, over a hundred runners took time out and joined us in our run to raise money for temporary housing for the desperate people of Gaza……And boy did they help! Collectively we raised over £29,000, which was passed on to our partner charity at the time – Interpal – who ensured that every penny went to the people in need (follow up post regarding last years project can be found here).

This year we are working with the charity SKT Welfare to help raise money for their Springs of Hope – Family Centre, which will house Syrian women and children, escaping the horrors of war. The centre is based in Reyhanli, a small Turkish town near the border with Syria, which is already home to thousands of Syrian refugees and we are looking to raise as much as possible to help with the running/furnishing costs.

To take part in the run with Raise for Life, you will be required to register with a small fee of £25, also as you can appreciate and from the fantastic reaction we have from you all every year, places are limited and get filled up very quickly. So to avoid disappointment and book your place, get in contact with us ASAP!
