Completion of the RFL Water Project 2013

The ‘Raise for Life – Water Filtration Project 2013‘ has officially come to an end and to mark this occasion a dinner was held on the 4th of May (Saqib Kebab House). Representatives of the Interpal team based in the Birmingham office were in attendance and presented with a cheque of £164,274.26. Our initial target was to raise £80,000 for a water filtration system (to be situated in Bani Suhaila, located south of the Gaza Strip), but with the hard work of all the Raise for Life members/volunteers and the generous hearts of all our donors, we managed to double this figure.

There are so many people we would like to thank, but it would be difficult to single out any specific individuals for their involvement. Moreover we would like to direct our gratitude towards Interpal, who gave us continuous support and also allowed us to work with freedom, in regards to organizing our own events.

Interpal have confirmed that the permits and paperwork for the plant have now been completed and work has begun on site. The scheduled date of completion has been set for August 2013. We will continue to keep you updated on the progress via this website or our Facebook page (RaiseForLife.Birmingham).
