Syria, A Conflict gone too Far
Raise For Life (RFL) is working with Human Appeal who have been active in Syria since the beginning of the conflict. One week after the conflict Human Appeal were on the ground helping refugees to Syrians both inside the country as well as those inthe bordering countries of Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.
Due to recent bombings on the border and use ofchemical weapons within the country, entry intoSyria is proving difficulty given the unstable situation.However, Human Appeal’s work is ongoing effectivelygiven their relationship with partners on the ground.
So far, Human Appeal has been able to provide:
- Mobile Medical clinics
- Fuel
- Hygiene Kits
- Food Parcels
- Mattresses and blankets and clothing
- Shelter

Raise for Life Syria Appeal
Working with Human Appeal, RFL will look to support the needy in Syria by helping to raise funds for food parcels.
Food parcels: includes basic necessities such as: Rice, Lentils, Flour, Vegetable Oil, Sugar, Salt, Potatoes,Dates, Tea, Dried Fruit, Dried Milk, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Towels, Women’s Sanitary Packs.
- £1000 feeds a family for 1 year
- £500 feeds a family for 6 months
- £250 feeds a family for 3 months
Get involved – Run for Syria!
This year, RFL will be taking 100 fundraisers to run 10k (approximately 6 miles) at the 2014 LeamingtonRegency 10k Run. The run is a fantastic opportunity to participate in a fun activity, whilst also raising moneyfor a serious cause.
