Who are we?
Raise for Life is a group of friends from various parts of the UK with one aim – raise money and awareness for those in need around the world.
Like an individual who wants to raise money for a particular charity, Raise for Life is a group of individuals who have united to do exactly the same thing, except the differences are as follows:
There are more of us so we can do more than one person.
We are professionals, graduates, students, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and therefore amass an array of skills that can be utilised to deliver exceptional fundraising for our chosen charity.
We want others to get involved. Just as our slogan says, people can get assist by donating, get involved in our fundraising projects or participate in the events we run to help raise funds.
What is our aim?
Its simple – to raise money and awareness for those in need around the world.
Is Raise for Life a registered charity?
Raise for life is not a charity and nor do we pretend to be one.
We all live busy lives that involve working in offices, running businesses, looking after our families and studying. To run, organise, develop and promote a charity takes a lot of time, effort and dedication. So for us, we’d rather leave that to those who know best.
Raise for Life is like an individual who wants to raise money for a particular charity except the difference is we are a group.
Why should I donate to Raise for Life and not go straight to the charity?
If you donate straight to the charity, well we would say we’ve done our job. If by looking at our publicity you feel that you want to donate to the charity directly, then we’ve done exactly what we set out to do – to raise awareness and money for those in need.
How does Raise for Life operate?
Every year we work closely with a chosen charity that we feel aims to deliver the best for those who are in dire need across the world. We then organise awareness, marketing, fundraising and events to achieve an agreed target over a period of time.
Who can donate?
Anyone. Over the years we have had individuals, groups, local businesses and families donate, fundraise and participate in our events. Businesses can become sponsors and in return we help to promote their business on certain promotional material at specific events.
We’ve found that by working closely with individuals, groups and business around the UK, we have built up fantastic networks, which enable us to spread the word and get donations to those in need.
Where does my money go?
Raise for Life does not hold on to your money. When you donate through our Charity Giving web page the money goes directly to the charity – we do not see a penny! 100% of your money goes to the charity, it then goes directly to the cause/appeal that the charity is raising funds for.
Does Raise for Life make a profit?
No. We do not take any money from you for profit, running costs, distribution costs, marketing, events, travel, etc. We work on our own costs and those provided by the charity.
We will make it clear on all our publicity if the charity takes a percentage for running costs. However, we feel right from the start that we’d rather work with charities that donate 100% of your money to those in need.
What work has Raise for Life been involved with in previous years?
We haven’t been around for decades, just a few years but enough experience and understanding to help.
Over the last few years we have worked with various charities that has involved raising money for the Pakistan Earthquake Appeal, Syria, Burma, Somalia, Birmingham Homeless Project, Palestine and local charities. Our portfolio is growing
