Firstly, ‘Raise for Life‘ would like to wish everyone a Blessed Eid, a time for giving, forgiving and to appreciate the importance of sacrifice and devotion. Secondly, an update in regards to our Ramadan appeal. Raise for Life managed to raise an astonishing £26,168.50 during the month of Ramadan. Our initial target was £7200, but thanks to your generous donations we managed to treble this amount. This will be used to fund three houses in the Orphans in Need – Orphan Village (situated in Delhi). A cheque for this amount was handed over to ‘Orphans In Need’ on the 12th of September, 2015, which was graciously accepted by ‘Orphans in Need’ CEO, Tufail Hussain and representative Mohammed Nadeem at Interpal’ Ladypool Rd office (who were kind enough to grant us use of their premises).
This particular initiative was close to our hearts, as it was in memory of Umar Tufail Hussain, who unfortunately passed away in May 2015 at the age of 3 (may Allah the Almighty bless his soul and reunite him with his family in the afterlife), so thank you again for donating generously and thank you for your unwavering support throughout the past few years.
