As you may be are aware, Raise for Life are working in conjunction with Penny Appeal, raising money for their ‘Feed our world’ project. What is Fidyah? When certain Muslims are not able to fast during the month of Ramadhan (whether it be due to ill health, old age or other unforeseen circumstances), they are required to pay ‘Fidyah’. In essence, they must feed a deserving person twice a day or give the value of the meals. If you do fall into this category, it is permissible to pay your Fidyah via the ‘Feed our World’ project.
