It’s Back – ‘Birmingham Champions Trophy 2016’

headerRaise for Life’ annual cricket tournament is back, this time we are working with ‘As Suffa Homeless Outreach’, raising money for the homeless community currently residing in Birmingham. As Suffa’ homeless project, which started back in 2011 has expanded rapidly and now covers various regions of the UK (including, Leicester, Sheffield and Bolton). As Suffa currently have four feeding days per week for the homeless (excluding Ramadhan, where the outreach programme is carried out for the duration of the month). It costs approximately £180 per day to feed the homeless in Birmingham (a typical feeding day will usually feed 130 individuals and consist of biryani, water, tea/coffee, biscuits etc). We intend to raise enough money to cover one feeding day (per week), for a twelve month period. The total cost of this would be £9,360. This years cricket tournament will be held in aid of this particular initiative. The tournament itself will take place on Tuesday the 27th of December 2016 at the Indoor Cricket Centre (Edgbaston, Birmingham). If you wish to participate, please contact ‘Raise for Life‘ via email, social media or the contact numbers provided on the poster below to register your interest. Please help us make a difference.
